We work with medical codes and some of them have leading zeroes which Excel recognizes as a number and therefore drops the leading zeroes when saving. Someone wrote a macro for Excel that pre-formats all cells as text before reading in the data but each Excel release tends to break the macro so we have to rework it. Finally I found a solution that treats CSV data as CSV data and that solution would be Ron’s CSV Editor. Many thanks!
